Flu immunisation programme 2021/2022 ( age 2 – 5 years).
The nasal flu vaccine is offered to all school children aged between 2 and 5 years (on 1 September and not yet in primary school).
At a time when our immunity may be lower than usual, it is important to protect children from the flu.
The vaccine itself consists of a quick, painless nasal spray.
Parents and carers will receive a letter in the post about how to arrange your child’s vaccine.

Teaching and pupil facing staff in nursery schools are also eligable to receive their free flu vaccine and can book an appointment via www.nhsinform.scot/vaccinebooking or by calling the National Vaccination Helpline on 0800 030 8013 (8am to 8pm, 7 days per week).
