Welcome to Greencroft South Medical Group

The Partnership was established in 1986 and moved into the new Medical Centre in Greencroft Wynd in 1991. We provide a full range of services to about 6,500 patients in Annan and the surrounding area.

Our aim is to provide all of our patients with a high quality medical service offering appropriate, timely, confidential and friendly advice and medical treatment. We work closely with a range of community health professionals including district nurses, health visitors, social workers, the community psychiatric team, and occupational health services.

The practice receives funding from the Health Board to provide general medical services for the patients on the practice list. We are also part of the Local Health Partnership in Annandale and Eskdale which helps in planning health services locally.

Update on Access to Greencroft Medical Group

From Monday 31 May 2021 we are changing how you are able to access our building.

The building is now open. You can access it via the main door only, unless instructed otherwise by the Reception Team.  Please follow any directions you are given by a member of our team, maintain social distancing at all times and observe the following guidelines:

  • If you have any Covid-19 symptoms, are awaiting the results of a test or have been asked to take one, or if you have been diagnosed as having Covid, please DO NOT ENTER THE BUILDING.  Either call in to explain the situation or use the intercom to speak to our Reception Team.  If you have an appointment, we will be able to see you but will need to direct you to a separate entrance, to an infection-control area.
  • You must wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth, unless you have a genuine exemption. If you have forgotten yours, please use the intercom to inform Reception as we can give you one.
  • Sanitise your hands as you enter. The sanitizer is on the wall on the left-hand side.
  • Please wait on one of the marked spots to maintain social distancing in the queue and stay within the marked “corridor”.
  • If the queue is to the door, please wait outside until there is a slot to wait on.
  • If our waiting room has reached the limit of its safe capacity you may be asked to wait outside and we may have to temporarily close the door and control access via the intercom again until numbers have eased.

THE SAFETY OF OUR PATIENTS AND STAFF REMAINS OUR TOP PRIOITY

Please be patient if you have to wait in a queue or are asked to wait outside, as it is a necessary precaution.

 

If you have an appointment

  • Please wait in the queue and check in at Reception.

If you want a prescription

  • We will continue to send these directly to the pharmacist that you have chosen;
  • Emergency prescriptions will be scanned and sent to the pharmacy as required;
  • In rare circumstances we may ask you to collect your script from the practice to take to the pharmacist in order to facilitate you getting it more quickly .

If you have requested a Sick Note

  • We can still email this to you, or post it.
  • You are now able to come and collect it from the surgery BETWEEN THE FOLLOWING TIMES ONLY, Monday to Friday
    • 8am – 9am
    • 12pm and 2pm
    • 4pm – 6pm
